Acostin 4.5Million iu Injection is used in the treatment of bacterial infections and serious bacterial infections.
Nausea, Nephrotoxicity, Neurotoxicity, Peripheral neuropathy (tingling and numbness of feet and hand), Acute tubular necrosis, Confusion, Dizziness, Muscle weakness, Renal injury, Respiratory distress, Secondary infections, Visual impairment, Vomiting.

Acostin 4.5million iu injection is an antibiotic. It works by killing the bacteria that cause infections.
- You may be regularly monitored for serum creatinine and blood urea nitrogen while on colstin treatment.
- Use with caution if you have porphyria (a rare blood pigment disorder that affects kidney) or kidney disease.
- Tell your doctor if you are or planning to become pregnant or are breastfeeding.

Alcohol

Pregnancy
Acostin 4.5Million iu Injection is unsafe to use during pregnancy.
There is positive evidence of human fetal risk, but the benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk, for example in life-threatening situations. Please consult your doctor.
Lactation
Acostin 4.5Million iu Injection is probably safe to use during lactation. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent a significant risk to the baby.
Driving
Acostin 4.5Million iu Injection does not usually affect your ability to drive.
Kidney
Acostin 4.5Million iu Injection should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Acostin 4.5Million iu Injection may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
Liver
There is limited information available on the use of Acostin 4.5Million iu Injection in patients with liver disease. Please consult your doctor.
