Salbutamol / Albuterol is a bronchodilator. It works by relaxing the muscles in the airways and makes breathing easier.

Beclometasone is used in the treatment of severe allergic reaction, allergic disorders, asthma, skin disorders and eye disorders.

Electrolyte imbalance, Redistribution/accumulation of body fat, Bone degradation, Increased risk of infection, Muscle disorders, Increased blood pressure, Skin scar, Altered bone growth, Behavioural changes, Increased glucose level in blood, Cataract.

Expert advice for Salbutamol / Albuterol

  • Use salbutamol inhalation exactly as prescribed by your doctor. Do not use in larger or smaller amounts or for longer than recommended.
  • Always keep the inhaler upright during the loading of the dose and administration steps.
  • If you can feel a slightly sweet tasting powder in your mouth after inhaling, you have received the dose and the active substance has reached your lungs.
  • During use, regularly wipe the mouthpiece with a fibre-free tissue or soft cloth.
  • Always replace the inhaler cap after you have used the inhaler.
  • Always tell your doctor if you suffer from an over active thyroid gland.
  • Take special precaution if you experience chest pains.
  • Take special care with salbutamol if you suffer from any disease of the heart.

Expert advice for Beclometasone

  • Do not stop taking beclometasone tablets even if you feel better follow your doctor’s advice when and how to stop.
  • Beclometasone should not be used continuously for longer than 3 months without consulting a doctor.
  • Do not start or continue the beclometasone spray/tablet and consult your doctor if  you are pregnant, breast feeding or planning to become pregnant.
  • Some people may feel sleepy after taking beclometasone. Avoid driving or performing activities that require alertness till you know how the drug affects you.

Aerotide Tablet may be unsafe to use during pregnancy.
Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor.
 
Lactation
Aerotide Tablet is probably safe to use during lactation. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent a significant risk to the baby.
 
Driving
Do not drive unless you are feeling well.
Aerotide Tablet may cause side effects such as dizziness, increased or uneven heart rate, muscle cramps or muscle pain. This may affect your ability to drive.
 
Kidney
There is limited information available on the use of Aerotide Tablet in patients with kidney disease. Please consult your doctor.
 
Liver
