Isoniazid is used in the treatment of tuberculosis
It is also used to treat inactive (latent) TB .
Side effects of Isoniazid
Peripheral neuropathy (tingling and numbness of feet and hand), Increased liver enzymes, Hepatitis (viral infection of liver), Jaundice.
How to use Isoniazid
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Akurit 150mg/75mg Tablet is to be taken empty stomach.
Avoid Akurit 150mg/75mg Tablet with tyramine-rich food such as cheese, smoked fish, meats and some types of beer.
