Alcoliv 500mg Tablet is used in the treatment of cholestatic liver diseases, alcoholic fatty liver disease and non-alcoholic fatty liver.
Nausea, Rash, Abdominal pain, Hair loss, Itching, Diarrhoea.
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Alcoliv 500mg Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
Metadoxine belongs to class of drugs called liver protectives. It acts by increasing the alcohol elimination from the blood and tissues, thus preventing liver damage.
- Alcoliv should be taken preferably after meals.
- Do not take antacids that contain aluminum while you are taking the Alcoliv. This is because antacids decrease the amount of Alcoliv absorbed by the body.
- Notify your doctor if you are breast-feeding.

Driving
It is not known whether Alcoliv 500mg Tablet alters the ability to drive. Do not drive if you experience any symptoms that affect your ability to concentrate and react.

If you miss a dose of Metadoxine, skip it and continue with your normal schedule. Do not double the dose.
