- Silodosin helps in relieving the symptoms of enlarged prostate. It doesn't decrease the size of the prostate.
- Silodosin must be taken with food.
- You will feel better within hours or days of starting treatment. Full effect is usually seen within 2 weeks.
- Silodosin may cause you to feel dizzy, faint, lightheaded, or weak, especially when you stand up (orthostatic hypotension). Take special precaution if you have to drive, use machines or do any activity that needs alertness.
- If your undergoing eye surgery due to cataract or glaucoma, inform your eye doctor about the usage of Silodosin.
- Inform your doctor if you have ever been diagnosed with kidney or liver problems.
Warnings
Alcohol
Taking Silodosin with alcohol may have additive effects in lowering your blood pressure. You may experience a headache, dizziness, lightheadedness, fainting, and/or changes in pulse or heart rate.
Pregnancy
Alphacept-D 8 Combipack is highly unsafe to use during pregnancy.
Human and animal studies have shown significant adverse effects on the foetus. Please consult your doctor.
Lactation
No information is available on the use of Alphacept-D 8 Combipack during lactation. Please consult your doctor.
Driving
Dizziness or weakness due to low blood pressure may occur in some patients while on Alphacept-D 8 Combipack. If you are affected in this way, your ability to drive may be impaired.
Liver
Alphacept-D 8 Combipack should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Alphacept-D 8 Combipack may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
Use of Alphacept-D 8 Combipack is not recommended in patients with severe liver disease.
