Uses of Anabrez Tablet

ANABREZ 1MG TABLET is used in the treatment of breast cancer
It is used with other treatments, such as surgery or radiation, to treat breast cancer in women who have attained menopause.

How to use Anabrez Tablet

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. ANABREZ 1MG TABLET may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

How Anabrez Tablet works

Anabrez 1mg tablet is an aromatase inhibitor. It works by lowering the amount of estrogen (natural female hormone) produced in the body. This can lower or stop the growth of some breast cancer cells that need estrogen to grow.
 

Expert advice for Anabrez Tablet

  • Your doctor has prescribed Anabrez to treat breast cancer.
  • Anabrez lowers estrogen production in your body and reduces the growth of hormone-sensitive tumours.
  • Anabrez can be taken with food or on an empty stomach with a glass of water or juice.
  • Nausea (upset stomach) and hot flashes (sudden sweating and feelings of warmth) may occur on starting treatment with Anabrez but should go away with time. If nausea is bothersome, take it after meal.
  • If you miss a dose, take it as soon as possible if it is within 12 hours of the missed dose. If it is more than 12 hours, skip the missed dose and follow your regular dosing schedule.

Pregnancy
 
ANABREZ 1MG TABLET is unsafe to use during pregnancy.
There is positive evidence of human fetal risk, but the benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk, for example in life-threatening situations. Please consult your doctor.
 
Lactation
 
ANABREZ 1MG TABLET is usafe to use during lactation. Data suggests that the drug may cause toxicity to the baby, or the mother is suffering from a condition in which breast feeding is not advisable.
 
Driving
 
ANABREZ 1MG TABLET may make you feel dizzy, sleepy, tired, or decrease alertness. If this happens, do not drive.
 
Kidney
 
ANABREZ 1MG TABLET should be used with caution in patients with severe kidney disease. Dose adjustment of ANABREZ 1MG TABLET may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
Limited information is available on the use of ANABREZ 1MG TABLET in these patients. No dose adjustment is recommended in patients with mild to moderate kidney disease.
 
Liver
 
ANABREZ 1MG TABLET should be used with caution in patients with severe liver disease. Dose adjustment of ANABREZ 1MG TABLET may be needed. Please consult your doctor.

Missed Dosage

If you miss a dose of Anastrozole, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
