Chlorpheniramine is an antiallergic which blocks the action of certain chemical messengers responsible for red, itchy, teary eyes. Boric acid is an antiseptic which treats bacterial infection in the eyes and relieves irritation. Sodium chloride is a purified salt solution which works by drawing out water from swollen cornea.
