Nausea, Vomiting, Abdominal pain, Diarrhoea, Allergy.
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Clamycin 250mg Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
Avoid Clamycin 250mg Tablet with tyramine-rich food such as cheese, smoked fish, meats and some types of beer.
- Your doctor has prescribed Clamycin to cure your infection and improve symptoms.
- It is better to take with food to avoid an upset stomach.
- Do not skip any doses and finish the full course of treatment even if you feel better.
- Diarrhea may occur as a side effect but should stop when your course is complete.
- Inform your doctor if it doesn't stop or if you find blood in your stools.
- Do not take antacids 2 hours before or after taking Clamycin.
Warnings
Alcohol
It is generally safe to consume alcohol with Clamycin 250mg Tablet.
Pregnancy
Clamycin 250mg Tablet may be unsafe to use during pregnancy.
Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor.
Kidney
Clamycin 250mg Tablet should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Clamycin 250mg Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
Liver
Clamycin 250mg Tablet is probably safe to use in patients with liver disease. Limited data available suggests that dose adjustment of Clamycin 250mg Tablet may not be needed in these patients. Please consult your doctor.
