How to use Levocetirizine

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. CZ L 5 mg/120 mg Capsule may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

  • Use levocetirizine with caution in the elderly; they may be more sensitive to its effects.
  • It is best to take the drug at bedtime as it can make you drowzy.
  • Do not take levocetirizine if you are allergic (hypersensitive) to levocetirizine.

CZ L 5 mg/120 mg Capsule may cause excessive drowsiness and calmness with alcohol.
Pregnancy

Lactation
CZ L 5 mg/120 mg Capsule is probably safe to use during lactation. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent a significant risk to the baby.
Larger doses or more prolonged use of CZ L 5 mg/120 mg Capsule may cause drowsiness and other effects in the baby or decrease the milk supply.
Liver
CZ L 5 mg/120 mg Capsule should be used with caution in patients with severe liver disease. Dose adjustment of CZ L 5 mg/120 mg Capsule may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
