How Amterex Syrup works
Amterex Syrup is a combination of five medicines: Ambroxol, guaifenesin, phenylephrine, chlorpheniramine and ammonium chloride which relieve cough. Ambroxol is a mucolytic which thins and loosens mucus (phlegm), making it easier to cough out. Phenylephrine is a decongestant which narrows the small blood vessels providing relief from congestion or stuffiness in the nose. Guaifenesin and ammonium chloride are expectorants which decrease the stickiness of mucus (phlegm) further helping in its removal from the airways. Chlorpheniramine is an antiallergic that treats runny nose, watery eyes and sneezing. |
