Used either prior to surgery for fibroids or for long-term treatment of fibroids to decrease their size, to stop or control bleeding, and to improve the red blood cell count. Considerably reduces or stops your menstrual bleeding within the first 10 days of treatment. Notify your doctor if you continue to have heavy bleeding despite taking Fibreshea. Your menstruation will be restored within 4 weeks of stopping Fibreshea. If you are currently taking hormonal contraception (birth control pills), use an alternate method of contraception (e.g. condom) as Fibreshea is likely to decrease the effectiveness of some hormonal contraceptives.
