Histo Calamine Lotion is a combination of five medicines: Aloe Vera, Calamine, Camphor, Diphenhydramine Topical and Glycerin which treat allergic skin conditions. Histo Calamine Lotion is a combination of five medicines: aloe vera, calamine, camphor, diphenhydramine and glycerin. Aloe vera is a plant, extracts of which form a protective layer on the skin by restoring moisture, so that skin feels hydrated and refreshed. Calamine and camphor are mild astringents which impart a cooling sensation on the skin to relieve minor irritations. Diphenhydramine is an antiallergic which works by blocking the effects of a chemical messenger (histamine), thereby relieving symptoms of skin allergy. Glycerine is a moisturizer. |
