How Napcap Eye Drop works
Napcap Eye Drop is a combination of six medicines: Naphazoline, Chlorpheniramine, Boric Acid, Zinc Sulfate, Sodium Chloride and Hydroxypropylmethylcellulose. Naphazoline is a decongestant which works by narrowing blood vessels of the eye to relieve inflammation (redness and swelling). Chlorpheniramine is an antiallergic which blocks the action of certain chemical messengers responsible for red, itchy, teary eyes. Boric Acid and Zinc Sulfate are are antiseptics which treat bacterial infection in the eye and relieve irritation. Sodium Chloride is a purified salt solution which works by drawing out water from swollen cornea (surface of eye). Hydroxypropylmethylcellulose is a lubricant similar to natural tears. It provides temporary relief from burning and discomfort. |
