How Pychlor Dexa Eye Ointment works
Pychlor Dexa Eye Ointment is a combination of three medicines: Chloramphenicol, Dexamethasone and Polymyxin B. Chloramphenicol is an antibiotic which stops bacterial growth by inhibiting synthesis of essential proteins required by bacteria to carry out vital functions. Dexamethasone is a steroid medicine. It blocks the production of certain chemical messengers (prostaglandins) that make the ear red, swollen and itchy after an allergy or infection. Polymyxin B is an antibiotic which kills bacteria by destroying the bacterial cell membrane. |
