How Quickderm Cream works
Quickderm Cream is a combination of four medicines: Betamethasone Topical, Neomycin Topical, Clioquinol (Iodochlorhydroxyquin) Topical and Tolnaftate Topical which treat skin infections. Betamethasone Topical is a steroid medicine. It blocks the production of certain chemical messengers (prostaglandins) that make the skin red, swollen and itchy. Neomycin Topical is an antibiotic which kills bacteria by preventing the synthesis of essential proteins required by bacteria to carry out vital functions. Clioquinol (Iodochlorhydroxyquin) Topical is an antibiotic with additional antifungal action. It works by preventing the growth and multiplication of the both bacteria and fungi. Tolnaftate Topical is an antifungal which stops the growth of fungi by preventing them from forming their own protective covering. |
