How to works How Zinkar Eye Drop works Zinkar Eye Drop is a combination of five medicines: Sulphacetamide / Sulfacetamide, Boric Acid, Zinc Sulfate, Phenylephrine and Naphazoline. Sulphacetamide / Sulfacetamide is an antibiotic. It stops bacteria from producing folic acid, a vitamin required for bacterial multiplication. Boric Acid and Zinc Sulfate are antiseptics which treat bacterial infection in the eye and relieve irritation. Phenylephrine and Naphazoline are decongestants which narrow the blood vessels in the eye, thereby reducing inflammation (redness and swelling).
