Expert advice for Zometa Solution for infusion Taken once a year by a 15-minute infusion. Take calcium and vitamin D to help build your bones when taking Zometa 4mg/100ml Solution for infusion. Do not take during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Tell your doctor if you become pregnant while taking Zometa 4mg/100ml Solution for infusion. Inform your doctor if you experience pain in jaw. This problem may be seen after dental work. Your doctor will monitor your response to Zometa 4mg/100ml Solution for infusion by testing your bone mineral density (BMD). This is usually done every 1-3 years. Some patients develop fever or flu-like symptoms, such as chills, tiredness and weakness. These symptoms are usually mild-moderate and should go away after a few days. May cause nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, headache, and pain in bones, joints and muscles. May cause atrial fibrillation (abnormal heart rhythm). Tell your doctor if you have a heart rhythm problem.
