It helps the body to absorb calcium and phosphorus from regular diet and food supplements, and helps in the development and growth of strong bones and teeth. It also helps in the reabsorption of calcium from bone tissues. Vitamin D3 is particularly useful in the treatment of certain bone disorders such as osteoporosis, rickets and osteomalacia.
