Do not start or continue framycetin, in any form if you are allergic to framycetin or any other ingredients of the medicine. Do not start or continue framycetin, if you have eye inflammation due to an infection caused by a fungus or a virus or tuberculosis (TB); Pus due to an eye infection. Avoid taking framycetin, if you have glaucoma (increased pressure inside the eye that causes visual problems) or a damaged (perforated) ear drum. Eye drops may cause blurring of vision and, therefore, caution should be followed while driving or operating heavy machines.
