How Rampitor Tablet works
Rampitor 2.5mg/10mg Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Ramipril and atorvastatin which treat high blood pressure associated with high cholesterol levels. Ramipril is an ACE inhibitor which works by reducing stress on the heart and relaxing blood vessels so that blood flows more smoothly and the heart can pump blood more efficiently. Atorvastatin is a cholesterol-lowering medicine which works by blocking an enzyme (HMG-CoA-reductase) that is required to make cholesterol. It thus lowers "bad" cholesterol (LDL), triglycerides and raises "good" cholesterol (HDL). |
